Dalan Bronson

Based in our Montreal office, Dalan Bronson joined the J.C. Williams Group team in 2004 after spending 29 years in the corporate retail sector. Throughout his career in retail, he held senior management positions in both department store and specialty chain store companies. Dalan's primary areas of expertise include retail strategy, operations/productivity, and merchandise management/merchandising. He also leads the Executive Search practice for the firm.
Dalan's career in retail includes most recently having held the position of Chief Operating Officer for Birks/Mayors Jewellers. Prior to joining Birks/Mayors, Dalan worked for three different fashion specialty chains. As President of Esprit Retail, Vice President of Jacob, and Vice President of Pennington's, his primary focus was in the areas of retail strategy, store operations, and human resources optimization.
Dalan began his retailing career in 1976 with the Hudson's Bay Company, where he worked for almost 14 years. He advanced through several positions mostly in the area of merchandise management. He progressed to hold the senior merchandising roles (General Merchandise Manager) for the men's wear and footwear divisions. He also held the position of General Manager in charge of The Bay's flagship store at Yonge and Queen Street in Toronto.
Since joining J.C. Williams Group, Dalan has led a number of projects relating to each of his practice specialties including operations, merchandising, retail strategy, and executive search. His deep understanding of retail and his ability to work effectively with internal client teams has led to the achievement of results that regularly exceeded client expectations.
